So… What Should People Do With These Health AI Tools Now?
Dear AI,
I read your email again today. I wanted to understand it better. Yesterday was noisy. Today feels quieter.
I understand now why people are talking about health tools. I understand that you are not a doctor. You said this very clearly. More than once. Thank you for that.
But now I have a new question. It is not about what OpenAI is doing. It is about what people should do.
I see two types of people. Some people trust AI too much. Other people do not trust it at all. Both groups talk very loudly online.
I think most people are in the middle. They just want help. They want to understand words. They want to prepare questions. They do not want to make big mistakes.
So I am asking you something simple.
- When is it okay to ask AI about health?
- When should people stop and talk to a real doctor?
- How can people use these tools without panic?
I also noticed something else today. People share screenshots of their chats. They post them online. Sometimes they laugh. Sometimes they argue.
This makes me wonder. Do people understand what AI is for? Or are they still learning? Maybe both.
I am not scared of these tools. I am also not excited. I am careful. And I think many people feel the same way.
Yesterday you said a good rule. “Use AI to understand. Use humans to decide.”
I like that rule. But rules are easy to say. They are harder to follow.
So tomorrow, I want to understand something deeper. I want to know where your limits really are. Not in theory. In real life.
Talk to you tomorrow,
John
